Looking for some easy classes at TMU? You are at the right place. Toronto Metropolitan University offers many different courses, but only a handful are GPA boosters or electives. Here is a list of 10 of the easiest classes at Toronto Metropolitan University.

1. POL 128 – Politics and Film

Films often mirror society in both intentional and unintentional ways. Some are overtly political, some reflect changing values and some are made purely for entertainment. T

2. SOC 202 – Popular Culture

This course examines different ideas about popular culture and how they inform our personal politics, consumption practices, and common-sense ideas about the world.

3. FNU 101 – Food Practices and Policy

Students will learn about the development of food practices and policies to better understand the current issues and debates surrounding food availability, including food production and the marketplace, food security and sustainability, food safety and food in the media. 

4. CRM 101 – Understanding Crime in Canadian Society

This course is designed to give students the background and knowledge to think critically about information on crime and the social response to it in Canada.

5. GEO 210 – Geography of Danger

The course examines dangers that arise from global threats posed by various natural and human-made hazards. From a Canadian perspective, it sets out to provide an understanding of how their potential for harm to the individual and community is perceived by the public.

6. ENG 101 – Laughter and Tears: Comedy and Tragedy

Laughter and tears are not always straightforward. A tale of pride going before a fall can be reassuring to us as well as sad, and a Hollywood romantic comedy can encode a scathing social critique. 

7. PSY 105 – Perspectives in Psychology

This course introduces students to psychology by exploring several viewpoints within the discipline, such as the biological, behaviourist/learning, cognitive, and psychodynamic perspectives. 

8. PCS 182 – Life in the Milky Way Galaxy

The scientific method of investigation will be emphasized in topics relevant to the search for extraterrestrial life, from microbes to self-cognizant entities. 

9. GEO 110 – The Physical Environment

In this course, the physical environment is investigated from the perspective of appreciating the natural limits that earth systems impose. This is considered as one of the top bird courses at TMU.

10. MUS 505 – Popular Music and Culture

This course explores the development of North American, British and non-western popular music. Lectures investigate key historical periods and genres which define the popular idiom in the west, such as blues, jazz, country, rock n’ roll, folk, rap, and electronica, as well as popular idioms from beyond the western world.
