University of Florida move in day can be extremely stressful during the start of the school year. We understand that feeling and that is why we have compiled a list on what to bring and not to bring during move in day. Here is the complete UF packing list!

What to bring to UF during move in day

• Extra Long Twin Sheets
• Pillow(s)

• Ethernet Cable
• Printer w/USB cable (there is free printing offered on campus)
• 14-gauge Extension Cord (10 ft. max)
• Power Strip (w/multi-plug adapter and circuit breaker)
• Alarm Clock
• Flashlight
• Camera
• Television
• Small Refrigerator
• Microwave (under 1500 watts)
• Desk Lamp (non halogen)

KITCHEN ITEMS

• Pots/Pans
• Strainer/Colander
• Pot Holder
• Measuring Cup

• Small Containers w/ Lids

• Dishes (cups, mugs, bowls, plates)

What not to bring during UF move in day (IMPORTANT)

  • Candles
  • Your entire personal library
  • Family Pets – Fido probably won’t help too much on move-in day
  • Hot Plates
  • Giant Stereo Systems
  • Too much winter clothes – yes, it’ll get cold but it’s still Florida
  • Extra furniture – UF Housing provides desks and beds for you!
