University of Hartford offers many different courses every year. In order to boost GPA and get a higher grade, students usually look for easier classes to take during the year. These classes could be both in person or online class. Here are 10 of the easiest classes at the University of Hartford.

1. AFS 110 – The Study of the Black Experience

An introductory course that explores the nature and scope of African American studies through an examination of the various dimensions of the black experience.

2. ART 100 – Aspects of Art

An introduction to ways of seeing and discussing art from around the world, including examples of painting, sculpture, prints, photography, architecture, and other historical and contemporary media. Content of the course at the discretion of the instructor. All sections share the goal of developing an understanding of the forms, techniques, and interpretations of works of art. Students may not register for this course if they have previously taken a college-level art history course.

3. CIN 150 – Introduction to Film

Study of cinema as a cultural and artistic form. Emphasis on techniques (camera, editing, color, sound, composition) and styles (realism, expressionism, abstraction).

4. CMM 271 – Introduction to Public Relations

This course introduces the major components of public relations, including strategies for problem resolution, media to execute strategies, and evaluation to assess program effectiveness.

5. EDY 245 – Psychological Aspects of Parenting

This course focuses on psychological techniques applicable to parenting. A problem-solving and problem-preventing approach are emphasized. Some of the topics covered under this general approach include discipline, sex education, behavior modification techniques, parenting styles, sibling relationships, alcohol and drug education, parenting special needs children, and building self-esteem in children.

6. PSY 105 – Introduction to Psychology

This course discusses what factors have shaped who you are today. How does the brain work? What is the nature of prejudice? We will discuss these and other core questions related to the concepts, theories and methods of psychology. Topics include history; methodology; biological bases of behavior; development; sensation and perception; consciousness; cognition, social and personality psychology and psychological disorders.

7. HUB 110 – Introduction to Language

This course is an introduction to the nature, structure and history of language. Through readings, lectures, structured exercises, and class discussions students survey the scientific study of language. Areas covered include: sound structure, word structure, and sentence structure of language, language acquisition, how languages change through time, language in society and writing systems.

8. ILS 220 – Introductory Illustration

An introductory course in illustration with an emphasis on the practice of black-and-white techniques for visual representation. Media include pen and ink, graphite, and watercolor. Emphasis is placed on working procedures and the handling of materials.

9. PHB 110 – Introduction to Philosophy

A first course in philosophy that stresses the basic human questions. Major concerns include the task of philosophy, the nature of man, the self, the freedom to choose, the nature of values, and the question of morality. Specific philosophical outlooks are briefly discussed; a more extensive examination is given to the nature of religion, belief in God, and Oriental thought.

10. WRT 110 – Academic Writing I

Introduces students to the complex practices of writing, reading, and thinking required in university courses. Students learn to approach writing as a process of invention, drafting, revising, and editing. The course also emphasizes rhetorical aspects of writing, such as audience, arrangement, and academic conventions. Students also learn to read diverse texts critically by practicing close-reading strategies. Students should become more confident about and competent at understanding the positions of others as well as asserting their own informed perspectives.
